Lemonaise Tuna Salad

This tasty tuna salad featuring Ojai Cook lemon-infused mayonnaise makes a heck of a tuna melt sandwich. The fancy mayo adds a very sophisticated spin to your everyday tuna salad recipe. If a sandwich isn’t what you’re craving, mix in with your favorite chilled pasta or spoon onto crispy crackers for a healthy meal.
makes 4 sandwiches


12 ounces good-quality tuna, packed in oil or water, drained
2 stalks celery, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced
1 apple, such as McIntosh or Gala, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/4-inch pieces
3 tablespoons Ojai Cook’s Lemonaise
2 tablespoons freshly chopped basil leaves
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
8 slices of your favorite bread

In a medium bowl, flake the tuna with a fork, combine the first seven ingredients and mix well. Season with salt and pepper, spread on bread and enjoy.
