Southwestern Grilled Chicken Salad

In Denver there's a chic little western shop called Cry Baby Ranch. Don't know why I think of them when I imagine chowing down this salad, but there it is! Serve with salsa and whole grain roll. And pull up those britches, buckaroo!
serves 4


8 cups torn mixed salad greens
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, grilled or baked and cut into strips
1 large tomato, cut into wedges
1⁄2 cup canned black beans, drained & rinsed
1⁄4 cup sliced green onion
3⁄4 cup reduced-fat cheddar cheese
1⁄2 cup reduced-fat ranch dressing
1⁄2 cup salsa (optional)
