Popeye Burgers

Me likes what me likes. Grill these burgers up on the Weber and commence to eatin'. They're good to the finish! Serve with Cheesy Oven Friesand a green salad.
serves 6


2 cups fresh spinach
1 pound fresh ground turkey
1⁄4 cup bread crumbs
6 whole grain hamburger buns
1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
1⁄2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste

Popeye Burgers

  1. Steam spinach for 3 minutes — purée with a hand blender.
  2. Add all ingredients to ground turkey and mix well.
  3. Form into patties and grill or pan fry until done. Top with slice of low-fat Colby or cheddar cheese, tomato slice and pickles. Garnish with ketchup or mustard.
