Easy Crockpot Mayo Chutney Chicken

An easy dinner with the tasty zip of SA Braai Chutney! Excellent served with rice and mixed vegetables.  

Ingredients

6-8 pieces of bone-in chicken
1 cup SA Braai Chutney of your choice
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 package onion soup mix
1/4 cup water
Salt and pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch

Easy Crockpot Mayo Chutney Chicken

Directions

1. Spray slow cooker with a thin coating of cooking oil spray.
2. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper and place in slow cooker.
3. Mix chutney, mayonnaise, onion soup mix, and water all together in a bowl and pour mixture over the chicken.
4. Place cover on cooker and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours.
5. 15 minutes before serving, preheat oven to 200 degrees.
6. Remove chicken from crockpot, wrap in foil and place in oven to keep warm.
7. Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir into the cooking liquid in the base slow cooker.
8. Turn slow cooker up to high and let mixture cook for 15 minutes to thicken.
9. To serve, top chicken with the sauce.
