Slow Cooker Oatmeal

Make this at night, turn on before you go to bed and have a heck of a breakfast waiting for you in the morning.
serves 6-8

Ingredients

Butter (or substitute) for greasing crock pot

1 cup milk or non-dairy alternative

1  cup canned coconut milk

¼ cup brown sugar

¼ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup regular rolled oats (thick rolled will result in a chewier texture but steel cut won’t work for this recipe)

1 cup finely chopped apples

1 cup raisins or chopped dates

½ cup walnuts or slivered almonds

Slow Cooker Oatmeal

Directions

1. Grease the inside walls of the slow cooker with butter or butter substitute.

2. Put all ingredients in and mix to combine.

3. Cover and cook on low heat for 8-9 hours.

4. Go to bed. C’mon, just go! When you wake up, there will be oatmeal (best oatmeal ever actually).
