Located in the heart of Wauwatosa, Cream City Soap Company has been making our city smell a little fresher since 1997 when soap-maker Anita Hero discovered she had a knack for combining scents into soaps, “I came from a family of makers, so when I came across a book on soap making in 1995, I was intrigued.  I shared my soaps with friends and family and got great feedback.  They told me it was the best soap they had ever used and that I should continue to make it.  The recipe has remained untouched since then.” Anita and her son Alex are committed to using only all-natural ingredients and essential oils in their products. In fact, most of their soaps use flower buds, ground spices, herbs and even cocoa powder making them some of the most natural soaps around! All of the soaps and the candles are made by hand in small batches using minimal, biodegradable or reusable packaging (the votives come in glass that can be recycled or repurposed).  Artificial fragrances are never used at Cream City Soaps, “We like our customers to know exactly what they are putting on their skin.  We also just simply think that pure essential oils smell a lot better than artificial fragrances.” Once you breathe in a candle or a soap from Cream City you’ll know exactly what they mean.
