Are you Fed Up?

Board Beet
By Your Board on October 16, 2014

As a college teacher in Early Childhood Education, my basic goal is to build better brains for babies. As a mom, grandmother, and teacher of young children, I often sing: “Sweet Stuff, You’ve Got Enough…You Don’t Need Any Sugar, Sugar!” I’ve been inspired by the movie FED UP.

FED UP delivers on the expertise of scientists and sounds an alarm for people to take action by recounting how many of the assertions about food and exercise over the past 30 years are dead wrong.  Like Jamie Oliver in his famous TED talk- Teach Every Child About Food- this movie will inspire families to cook again, and to empower people everywhere to take action.

You can watch a powerful introduction and trailer by clicking on www.fedupmovie.com and if you'd like to buy and view your own copy of this film, visit http://fedupmovie.com/#/page/see-the-film. If you really can’t wait, I’ve discovered some great recipes from Chef Kathy Gunst, who believes fresh, simple food is best – and best when cooked fresh from the garden and in your home. Here is one recipe I’ve found for a simple soup to warm you up on these cold Autumn days.
