Marinade for Southwestern Steak

If you like easy recipes, this one is for you. The aromatic flavors stand up to beef, and will accommodate all steak types. Serve with a Syrah and a smile.
about 1/2 cup

Ingredients

1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Stir together all of the ingredients.
Step 2
Put the steak in a glass dish and pour the marinade over it, turning the meat well to make sure it is evenly coated. Cover the dish and chill the marinated steak for an hour at least, or up to 12 hours.
