Gluten-free Sorghum Brownies

Wheat flour? Who needs it when you’ve got local sorghum flour? These tasty, fudgy brownies can be made with staples you probably already have in your pantry and it’s less of a mess since all the work happens in one bowl.
serves 4-6

Ingredients

11⁄3 cups sorghum flour

1 cup sugar

7 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon melted butter

2 eggs plus 1 egg white

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

1.     Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.     Blend the dry ingredients together.

3.     Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and blend well until combined.

4.     Spread mixture into a greased 8x8-inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.

5.     After cooling, sprinkle with powdered sugar and a dash of cinnamon.
