The cooperative values and success of Outpost align deeply with my professional work as program manager for a UWM community leadership program and my personal work as a community activist for over 15 years. I’m excited to utilize my skills and passion to work collaboratively to build spaces for diverse people to create positive change and sustainable communities. I live in Shorewood with my partner Lee and my brother Alberto who we are raising. I have experience serving on non-profit boards and steering committees, such as Latinas en Accion, and the Milwaukee chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.

I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA and have lived in Milwaukee for the past 8 years and am proud to call it home. I come from a large family (10 siblings total). I was raised by my grandparents where I grew up appreciating the outdoors and the swamp environment, as well as the joy of cooking and community. My husband is a teacher and writer, and together we have been raising my youngest brother, Alberto, for the past 12 years. My hobbies are creative writing, photography, gardening, cooking and, of course, eating. I am passionate about making a difference in my community and working to build community members ability to get involved and make a difference in issues they care about.
