It’s hard to believe it is that time of year again, but we are now in the run-up to the October Outpost Board of Directors election.  I am happy to announce a strong field of seven candidates for three open positions.  Those candidates are (in alphabetical order):

Ava Hernandez
Maggie Joos
Pat McFarland
Tracy Merges
Jan Pierce
Paul Sickel
Joan Stewart

Each of the candidates will have his or her answers published, answering a series of questions posed on their applications, which will be published starting in September.

We all know that it is difficult to choose among candidates for any office, as the candidates may be more or less than what they choose to share with the community of voters.  Your Board is continuing to devise ways in which the candidates can become better known to our voters, by publishing more of their responses than in past years.

Please take the time to read the profile of each candidate, in his or her own words, as they are published at this site.  You will find a group of candidates with a rich diversity of backgrounds, skills and affiliations.

Being a member of the Outpost Board of Directors requires that one bring skills and commitment to the table.  Outpost has long since ceased to be a volunteer-run organization; it is staffed by skilled and increasingly sophisticated employees.  Its Board must be no less and in the coming weeks, we will be exhorting you to become involved in choosing three of these seven candidates by reading their profiles and voting.  Thanks for your time!

Nominations Committee
