Neighbor to Neighbor

Neighbor to Neighbor is a community partnership between Outpost Natural Foods and Walnut Way Conservation Corp.  The program supports families living on a restricted income that want to make healthier choices in their lives, while at the same time building community health and wellness in the Walnut Way and Lindsay Heights Health Alliance neighborhoods.  

Through Neighbor to Neighbor, Outpost and Walnut Way will

• Provide access to healthy, wholesome foods
• Offer the benefits of owner-only prices at Outpost
• Promote wellness education in our community

Your tax-deductible donation will go directly towards

• An Outpost ownership for an eligible family
• Health & wellness education in this vibrant neighborhood

Donations are made directly to Walnut Way either via the Walnut Way Web site or at any Outpost Natural Foods store location. Walnut Way administers the program and determines how your donation will be allocated within the Neighbor to Neighbor program. There are no administrative fees applied to your donation - 100% is allocated within the program.

Walnut Way Conservation Corp is a 501(c)3 whose community involvement has turned one of the poorest neighborhoods in the Milwaukee into an area where people work to improve their health, community and livelihood. Under the vision and leadership of Sharon and Larry Adams, the program has grown from grassroots activism to a full fledged community renaissance, attracting the attention of neighboring community groups to form a much larger alliance to tackle the challenging issues of poverty, crime and lifestyle in the central city.
